Week 15 (06.07.2020)
It is hard to believe that we are coming to the end of our academic year, and yet we have not had the joy of seeing so many of you since March.
Many of you will have heard the announcements on Thursday where we are expecting to be fully open to all pupils in September. The guidance from the DfE will now help us to plan for the full reopening and welcoming everyone back to school. We are certainly looking forward to our whole school family being back together and although there will still be a number of restrictions in place, myself and the Senior Leadership Team will be working on the plan over the coming weeks.
On Thursday, I would like to invite you to a virtual meeting where I can share some of these ideas with you all. The link will be sent out separately. This meeting will allow me to share the plans that are currently in place and our proposals for September.
Over the next couple of weeks, we are arranging meetings for your children to say goodbye to their current teacher as allowing them to meet their new teacher for September. The information regarding these meetings will be sent out to you in the next couple of days. It is a different way of transition for us all this year but we feel that it is an important passage for everyone.
The work on the front of the school started last week and the scaffolding has started to be erected today. The transformation in September should be something that we are all proud of.
Many of you would have welcomed the ability to attend Church this weekend. Whilst this is lovely for many, it is also important to remember that attending mass is not a requirement at this current time. You can continue to attend virtually or attend a weekday mass in order to ensure that social distancing continues and we can abide by the new rules and regulations.
The assembly for this week uses music and poetry to encourage children to hand over their concerns to Jesus and to rest in God’s presence. Please click on the image below.
I have attached the prayers for this week below.
I have also uploaded the Draft RSE Policy on to our website for consultation. If you have any questions or feedback, please do get in touch.
I look forward to seeing you all soon.
You are all in our thoughts and our prayers.
