This year, the secondary transfer process is very different from previous years. Although secondary schools cannot hold physical meetings in their schools, many are offering virtual tours and virtual meetings over the next few weeks.

Many of our past pupils transferred to local Catholic Secondary Schools including:

• Bonus Pastor Catholic College
• St Ursula's Catholic Convent School
• St Michael's Catholic College
• St Thomas the Apostle 

Your children should now have taken home a Bright Futures brochure which details information about the secondary schools in Lewisham. There is a digital version available to download on the Lewisham website. (Please note that this is for Lewisham schools and if you would like to look at schools in Greenwich and Southwark, you would also need to look at their individual websites).

Lewisham are also offering a service of weekly emails in the lead up to the application process. This has started this week. If you would like to receive these emails and you have not already signed up, please follow the following link: https://r1.dotmailer-surveys.com/d7402e3-404ptedd

Lewisham have created a webpage to make it easy for parents to find this information in one place, and they will continue to update this page as they get more information from the secondary schools.  This can be found by following the link below:

Applications have already opened. The closing date for applications is Saturday 31st October 2020 but it is recommended that you submit your online application well before this date.

The closing date for supplementary forms are to be returned to the schools directly by Saturday 31st October. Again, it is recommended that this is done in advance of this date.

I have emailed all parents in Year 6 the information regarding the admission process and I am meeting and telephoning parents over the coming weeks. Please do take a look at the individual school websites and follow the links to join the virtual meetings.
